My name is Bob Magness and I am a freelance writer. Whether I am writing or reading, I love the written word. My spare hours are spent devouring books of all genres and writing everything from business copy to magazine articles to novel manuscripts. My passion for the field has lead me to return to college to earn my B.A. in English.

If you are looking for someone who has spent their entire adult career as a professional writer then I am not your man. While I have been a writer all that time, it is only recently that I decided to share my craft with the world.
During my day job I work for the US federal government in a position that allows me to live all over this wonderful world of ours. I have lived and worked in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. I am currently on assignment in Cambodia and will soon be moving to Africa for a couple years.
This life I live has afforded me a plethora of life experiences from which I draw inspiration for my writing. In regards to creative and editorial writing you will find this life experience gives my writing a fresh approach. On the technical and business writing side of the coin I have ample experience from my federal job writing briefs, reports and talking points for high level government officials such as US ambassadors and other foreign diplomats. With such consumers, failing to meet a deadline is not an option.
